Brian O'Neill

We will all miss you Brian. I am so glad that I got to know Brian. He was the nicest, most generous men I know. He was a great trombone player, composer, and an all around good guy. My thoughts are with his family and his band members and all other fans. Goodbye Brian....I know I will hear your sweet music again one day.

I have been sad all day, I didnt know Brian that well, yet he didnt know me from Adam, but I know he was a sweet caring man with a great disposition and great attitude on life, he and I discussed the music Biz and problems with it in Memphis about two months ago. As we did last Summer at the Maple Leaf when Stacey introduced us for the frst time.
He was a guy you could talk to only once and leave the conversation feeling like you just made a new lifelong friend.
I am really sad, and can only imagine what those of you who really knew him must be going through.
My sincerest {is that even a word?} good thoughts and prayers go out to all of Brians Friends and Family.
All I feel like saying is "DAMN"

I met Brian at Harrah's New Orleans Casino a few years ago when he bacame the "Band Leader". We became fast friends and I was introduced to "the Bone" and was hooked! He would sometimes "put me on the list" for various shows around town and he would tell me cool stories of all the places he played. He was my own personal "Musical Tour Guide" for the New Orleans music scene (or so I dubbed him). I was always amazed at how much fun he had playing and how easy he made it look. I talked to him this past Tuesday and the last thing he said to me was "I hope to see you soon". I am hurting inside at the loss of such an incredible human being. I visited with his wife's parents and sister at his home in Algeirs Point last night and his dog Bogey was so sad. It's like she knew. I miss Brian so damned much! Thank you for sharing your Brian memories. SevenOut

I believe I've seen you at several Bonerama shows. My name is Ellen Hannah. I have black hair, wear glasses and am usually wearing a Zephyrs cap of some kind. I "took a break" at the last Maple Leaf show with Brian out on the patio between sets. We talked about Thanksgiving and how he was secretly enjoying being "Mr. Mom" in his Post-Katrina world. I JUST talked to Brian Tuesday afternoon. He was working on some arrangement that was about to be recorded and was under a deadline, but took some time to chat. I CANNOT STOP CRYING! SevenOut
